Executive Board

Chinese American Society (CAS) is a non-profit organization to inspire Chinese Americans’ social and political participation and contribution; to foster Chinese cultural heritage; to promote Chinese Americans’ social, political and economic well-being; to enhance understanding among all peoples, and to advocate world peace.

Executive Board Members

Jielin Dong(董洁林): President and Chairperson, represents CAS and serves as its chief spokesperson; administers the daily operations of CAS and implements the directives and programs according to the policies and rules set by the Executive Board; collaborates with the Treasure and Vice President of Finance in the financial planning and fund-raising. Shusheng Luan(栾述生): Treasurer and Vice President of Finance, responsible for budgeting and monitoring the financial status of CAS, and for overseeing tax filings by CAS. The Treasurer shall collect and disburse all funds and assets of CAS based on the guidelines set forth in the annual budget as approved by the Executive Board. The Treasurer shall also keep regular accounts which at all times shall be open to inspection by any member of the Executive Board. The Treasurer shall give written and oral financial reports at each meeting of the Executive Board; temporarily responsible for Membership Development, manage membership records and dues; Also work with the President in the financial planning and fund-raising. Dongping Deng(邓冬平): Secretary and Vice President, responsible for keeping a record of all proceedings and activities of CAS including minutes of all meetings of the Executive Board and the General Membership; and shall perform the usual duties of such office and be subject to the direction of the President and the Executive Board; also be in charge of CAS reaching out to the other communities via Internet. Sen Hu(胡森): Vice President for Education and Cultural Programs, responsible for developing and maintaining files, documents and publications to support CAS initiatives; developing and conducting educational and cultural programs which will cultivate leadership and organization skills in the Chinese American communities; promoting cultural diversity and ethnic harmony in the mainstream society. Tao Ni(倪涛): Vice President for Partnership Development, responsible for developing strategies of partnership with other organizations on behalf of CAS; collaborating with other organizations to support the CAS initiatives; preparing documents for partner communication and taking actions to realize CAS partnership strategies. Ming Chen(程明): Vice President for Communication, responsible for developing youth programs for CAS to engage with the young generation; also developing website strategies and contents ; working with technology team to develop IT technology and optimize the system.(mingcheng@ca-soc.org)

Yungui Ding(丁云贵): Vice President for Technology Development, responsible for identifying and recommending technological applications for the operations of CAS, developing and maintaining the official website of CAS with feasible and advanced IT technological applications; managing on-line activities according to guidelines and rules set by CAS.
